| Abstract: | In April 1969 four young men went to travel in the forest region of Palamou with an aim to break off every link with civilization for a few days and rejoice in the abundances of Nature.
Ashim Chatterjee - the most well off among them, smart, with leftist leanings. Today he is a successful man belong to the high echelon of society.
sanjay Banerjeee - once an employee in a small jute mill, he had always cherished the dream to become a writer. Today he is an established novelist . Shekar Sen - a witty and lively person, who has also the only unemployed in the group. Today he is no longer with them. Harinath Dutta - the youngest among them, was a superb sportsman. His job with the railways materialized due to this excellence in sports. Today he is also leading a settled and sheltered life. Today they all have their own families which is expanding through time. So when they plan to go for another trip to the forest it becomes and entirely new journey of a different dimension. The romance and thrill of this new journey and the interpersonal relationship between the different characters form the foundation of the film's story. Here the changing time is a metaphor for 'Impermanence' for worldly phenomenon . The film is a story of contemporary times, seen through the common journey of two generations. |
