| Abstract: | DEVA (Sunne Deol) belongs to a middle class family comprising of his father Ashok Pradhan (Anupam Kher). who is an advocate mother Gayatri (beena). brother Aakash (Sachin Khedekar) and sister Guddi (Richa Behi). the son of an hinest and principled advocate. Deva does respect the honesty and ideals of his father but at the same time believes in practical of today's times and does not want to take things lying down it is because of these differences that there persists a conflict between the father and son Circumstances lead to Deva leaving the house for good. With the passage of time. Deva goes on to became one of the most wanted don's of the city. He is wanted by the pilice and hated by his rivals viz, Jindal (Raj Babbar), Khan (Shard Saxena), and Lal (Shabaz Khan). On the other hand he is lived and worshiped by the poor and needy to whom he plays the good Samaritan. The Commoners are Ready to lay down lives for Deva.
Deva meets Jaya (Raveena Tandon). A Club dancer, in a strange incident, Jaya falls in love with him and Deva becomes aware of her circumstances and her ailing mother (Farida Jalal). On the mother's insistence, Deva marries jaya. Deva's sister Guddi is married off the Assistant Commissioner of police Inder Saxena (Ashis Vidyarthi), who is also a family friends of the Pradhan's Inder has been handed over the files relating to Deva and the other don's The trio of don's get together and hatch a pot to murder the honest chief minister and implicate Deva for the same, thereby eliminating bothe their enemies, but a strange coincidence Aaksh overhears the plan and before he could inform deva about it, he is ruthlessly murdered by them. |
