Maya Rao and teachers at Sri Ram School, Vasant Vihar, N. Delhi have developed
an extremely effective interactive play on 'communal harmony' (for lack of a
better phrase). I was fortunate to film parts of it for a producer in April,
2002. For those of us who know Maya, it would be wonderful if we can formalise a
way to take this great product to other venues. Since it will not be possible
for the Sri Ram teachers to spare time, I can visualise adapting the play to
retain its interactive spirit by incorporating video in parts.

My initial reaction, which I shared with the team was ... why not invite parents
for this. Things might move in that direction once the school opens after summer
vacations. Has the initiative considered the pros and cons of having a mix of
parents and school children. This may be an effective communication strategy, as
adults in the presence of children, generally have their guards down and are
perhaps more receptive. Also, the simplicity in vocabulary and images for a
younger audience has a different impact on adults.

Treat this as a call for collaborators to take this idea ahead.

Best Wishes,
