Then, I suppose they employ RIAA tactics and issue subpoenas to get ISPs to 
reveal the names of their users so they can be approached directly. That 
might be rather hard to achieve outside the US, but then again, it may be 
easier to just convince an ISP to hand over the names of its customers 
voluntarily outside the US...

What I don't understand is what "express provisions of law" Sarovar is 
contravening by hosting Play Fair. The Indian lawyer claims there are some 
provisions in the IT Act and the Copyright Act, but Indian law has no 
equivalent of the US DMCA's anti-circumvention provision, so I wonder 
exactly what he is talking about...
