Hi folks

Its good to find the CR debate getting hotter and hopefully, the debate is
taken to our courts. Too much blasts solely on this list is too bad for the
few hopefuls who linger here and are on the margins.

Though this may be too presumptuous, but I feel that we have also not built
the capacity among NGos, and communtiies that NGOs guide and other such
unions like trade unions, womens groups, health groups, ) of the huge value
that CR can be to them as an imp adjuct to their activities.
This is becos few of our folks have great value for radio in a TV driven
world; thats why even NGOs love TV and its capacity to communicate polio,
education and etc messages.
Hence my notice to bridge that gap here in Madras/ Tamil Nadu by talking to
folks I know - like some very aggaresive and community minded women IAS
officers who have done immense work among various communtiies.

Now I have Crishna's profl inputs to set up pilots. So thats one hand to
help. What about Bandana's NFI??? Will it fund pilot radio - CR pjts if some
communtiies come fwd to use radio?
Surely, the Womens Corpn of TN may chip in too.

What is the best way tio get the Womens Corpn host a radio sensitity
programme? Manipal says it can send people.
Will Voices chip in with colaborating this event in Madras?
where at least 20-40 powerful NGOs get exposed to radio and CR issues.
Subbu Vincent are u also free to help run a 1/ 2 day meet- a sort of
conference-workshop on CR sensitisation for NGOs in Madras/ TN??

I think CR will be better off if it has more supporters. Love inputs from al
the silent readers on this list.
