My name is Manjula Rao and I work with the British Council based in Mumbai.
I picked up that India celebrates its 75th anniversary of broadcasting on 23
July this year from one of your mails. We plan to celebrate this occasion by
organising an appropriate event. Some initial ideas we wish to develop are:
 
1.    "Then and Now" - reminiscences from broadcast journalists in music,
sports and news 
2.    A video conference with appropriate staff at BBC and AIR/Doordarshan
highlighting recent developments milestones in              broadcasting
3.    Engage students of mass communication in debates or discussions on
topics related to broadcasting.
 
I should appreciate your views and comments on how best we could celebrate
this occasion.
