Following our original review of this product, Bob Raymond, NE1I of DXtreme
Software has responded with some comments and explanations. We've decided to
publish these to encourage more feedback on product reviews, both from users
and the companies concerned.

DXtreme SW Reception Log is a multipurpose program. It's a computerised log
book, an electronic reception reporting tool, and (if used to its full
potential) a means of analyzing reception patterns.

The program is designed for use by listeners to all types of station. The type
of station is referred to by its 'class'. The programme comes with six pre-
defined classes, namely amateur radio, harmonics, pirate radio, shortwave
broadcast, time and utility. These are user-configurable, so for example if you
never listen to amateur radio and utility stations you can delete these. You
could also create new sub-categories such as international and domestic
shortwave broadcasters.
