MEDIA SUPPORT PARTNERSHIP

Operations Manager

Based: Maputo, Mozambique

Media Support Partnership (MSP) is about to expand its activities in 
Mozambique, and will shortly cover all provinces with an innovative 
programme working with local broadcasters to improve HIV/AIDS radio 
programmes. The Operation Manager will take the lead in implementing
this expansion in Mozambique with the MSP Country Director. Duties will 
  include establishing MSP’s expanded office in Maputo, liaison with 
government, radio stations and other project partners, working on 
developing monitoring and evaluation systems and ensure they are 
implemented, setting up administration structures, recruiting local 
staff, overseeing project
expenditure and raising MSP’s profile in Mozambique and regionally.

Essential qualifications and experience

NGO management in a developing country, preferably Africa, fluent 
English and Portuguese, initiative and ability to act responsibly with 
minimal supervision, good interpersonal skills.

Experience of media and evaluation methodologies preferred.

Salary:
Between US$2500 and US$3500 per month depending on qualifications and 
experience, plus housing allowance.

1 year contract, initially.
