Dear Ashish,
Thanks for the info. Will write to Dr.Sreedher about IGNOU's Consultations and to Surekha about the UNDP workshops.
Vickram reminded me about DDS and Oravakal, which I have 'researched' and added as follows:
· DDS APPLIES FOR RADIO LICENSE, MACHNOOR VILLAGE, MEDAK DIST., 19 AUGUST 2000
· DDS APPLICATION TURNED DOWN BY MINISTRY, 11 JANUARY 2002
· INDIAS FIRST VILLAGE FM BROADCAST, ORAVAKAL (ANDHRA PRADESH), MARCH 2002
· FORMAL LAUNCH OF ORAVAKAL FM, 2/3 OCTOBER 2002
· SEIZURE OF EQUIPMENT, ORAVAKAL, FEBRUARY 2003
Vickram, do you have the exact dates for Oravakal?
You, too, Ashish - please give me the precise dates for Boodikote. For instance, I have found out that the Audio production centre at Boodikote was inaugurated on 21 September 2001, and cablecasting started on 28 March, 2003. Please help me out the with other dates as well, and give me some background info if you think that would be useful.
warm regards,
Sajan.
