Greetings.
Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) is working 
since 2000 to promote information communication and technology (ICT) 
facilities just not as a privilege but also as a human right, so that there 
will be little of digital divide is perpetuating poverty. Foundation for 
Amateur International Radio Service (FAIRS) Bangladesh is a chapter of 
FAIRS International Inc. based in USA working world wide to promote amateur 
radio since 1992.

Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) recently 
announced that Amateur Radio Operator examination would be held during 
16-17th January 2004. This is a sort of rejoice for the interested people 
in this regard, who did continuous influencing activities in last four 
years for such initiatives. BNNRC and FAIRS jointly taken promotional 
activities and organized a training course during 12  15th January 2004 at 
BETS Center, House # 55, Road # 4 A, Dhanmondi, Dhaka  1209.

Amateur Radio is a recognized (governments and international 
telecommunication union) international citizen movement through HF, VHF and 
UHF transceiver for friendship, research and assistance during human disasters.

Mr. Syed Marghub Murshed, Chairman, BTRC has consented to participate in 
both opening (6-7 p.m, 12th January 2004) and concluding (7-8 p.m 15th 
January 2004) ceremony at the BETS Center.

We also like to invite you in these opening or either concluding ceremony, 
which will encourage us in this regard and enhance important to promote 
Amateur Radio Movement in Bangladesh. Thanking you in advance for cooperation.
