Your email below was provided by Mr. Vickram Crishna, from Radiophony who had
attended the Manipal meeting in March 04. I represent CHILDLINE India
Foundation, the nodal body that anchors the 24 hour free phone emergency
helpline for children in 55 cities of India. CHILDLINE is a project of the
Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and till date has responded to over
4 million calls from children who need medical help, shelter, emotional support
and guidance, calls for missing children  and rescue from abuse. 

CHILDLINE India Foundation is now in the process of setting up a community radio
station for children in areas where telephone lines cannot reach. 

We are very keen to use the cost effective medium of community radios for
children in distress and would very much like to participate in the workshop
organised on 5th and 6th May 2004, in Delhi.
