Dear Friends,
Here are details of the new station of AIR at
Dharmapuri in Tamilnadu by Mr.D.Prabakaran in
Mettupalayam:
Tx Power 10 kW
Frequency 102.5 MHz Stereo
Technically ready for service, but awaiting for
staff.
As a interim arrangement , they may relay
Vividh Bharathi programmes from Tamil new year day.
AIR Bhadravathi on new channel:
While tuning across the band last night (20 Feb 2005),
AIR Bhadravathi was noted on new frequency of 675 MHz.
Their old frequency was 1359 kHz 20 kW.
AIR Hyderabad:
A new tower has come up at the AIR Hyderabad studioes
for their new 10 kw FM transmitter. The installion is
under under progress.
Last year a 1 kw MW transmitter has been installed as
standby tx at the Hyderabad A site for their 2x100 KW
tx operating on 738 khz. It is the old Vividh Bharathi
transmitter from AIR Kozhikode which was taken out of
service from there when FM transmissions started
there.
