The revised policy on community radio has not yet been issued. For
starters, if you want a license to operate a community radio station
under the old policy, you must be an approved educational
institution, and your application (downloadable) must be endorsed
either by your state education ministry or the central human
resources ministry.

The local production centers do not need a broadcast license to
produce radio programs or to join the movement. Please make a start
by helping us swell the list of signatories to the petition.

As is the case with other sections of civil society, we do not have a
formal organisation, nor do we feel that is a prerequisite to action.
All we share is a belief that the world can be managed more
equitably, and that we can make a difference by beginning with our
own country.
