[cr-india] Govt to allow news on private FM?

Hi,
I'm Tisha Srivastav from NDTV here.I have followed some of yours and fred's suggestions for sometime now.
 i know most of us in the media report on community radio as one freak case of effort or success.
Just wanted to tell you we have a programme called Special Report in which we can look at something in depth.Please give me your contact numbers so that I can try and do a more holistic view which genuinely includes the potential of community radio.

Could this be because the channels are cheerfully putting out news already?

Early this morning, on a bus traveling through
Punjab, I could hear Red FM detailing a long list
of frequencies in different cities where the
channel could be heard, followed by - the news!

But maybe media barons are more equal in our democracy.

I wonder how many people noticed the casual use
of 'the industry' in the last paragraph quoted
above. The possibility of radio outside of an
'industry' is hard to grasp, for 'sources close
to the development' (what a phrase!).
