Aaykaara...!  Adivasi Voices on AIR!

Another Community Radio Programme launched in Gujarat!

Tune in to All India Radio, Surat FM station every Thursday at 6:30 pm
starting November 30 and listen to our new programme titled
'AAYKAARA', the first community radio programme in Dangi by 'Ran Rede'
Team ((In dangi, 'Ran' means Forest/Jungle and 'Rede' means Radio).


'Aaykaara' is a 30 minute dangi weekly programme on the tribal rights
in Vansda taluka of Navasari and Dang district. It is an attempt to
give voice to the tribal communities reflecting their issues,
aspirations and culture with their participation. This programme is
researched, written and produced by community reporters of 'Ran
Rede'-the radio team at Kanuni Sahay Kendra, Dang. Kanuni Sahay
Kendra, Dang is one of the 8 district units of Centre for Social
Justice(CSJ), Ahmedabad, working on legal awareness and social
justice. This community radio project is supported by Ujjas Radio
(KMVS) and Drishti.

This project is in partnership with KMVS, Drishti and Centre for
Social Justice, Ahmedabad and is supported by UNDP.
