Fast expanding Big 92.7 FM is getting set for its
Jallandhar Station launch.
The launch of Big FM in Jallandhar marks the entry of
the first private FM station in the city, and adds to
a network that already has 14 operating radio stations
across the country.
Commenting on the entry of the Station into the
Punjabi city, Big 92.7 FM COO Tarun Katial, says,
"While the metros are ideal to establish brand
recognition and recall, some of the mini-metros are
completely new and fresh to explore, giving us an
opportunity to provide an entertainment medium to the
listeners. It is our endeavor to attract the local
audiences and build a brand that connects at the
grassroots. Credibility, relevance and aspiration are
our pegs for content as a product that reaches into
every home and is of relevance to every listener."
"There will be high amount of interactivity on the
station and we will use it as a platform for
consumers, taking on issues that are word of mouth and
bring listener emotions to the fore. By mid 2007, we
will be present across India from Srinagar to
Thiruvananthapuram and Rajkot to Guwahati." added
Katial.
In the first phase of its launches, Big 92.7 FM set up
Stations in the metro cities of Delhi, Hyderabad,
Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai. The second
phase of launches have taken Big 92.7 FM to several
mini metros including Jammu, Srinagar, Aligarh,
Jhansi, Bikaner, Chandigarh, Bareilly and. Hissar and
the completion of second phase will take the total
count of Stations to 45.
