Hello,

Does anybody know of any CR initiatives in Uttar Pradesh?

The thing is that I am PhD student in computer science, studying at the
University of Waterloo in Canada. My research is in using new Web 2.0 like
technologies to connect together diverse sections of society, and help them
build their social capital, ie. social ties that can help them in their daily
life. I have to be in Lucknow in June/July for some family stuff, and I will
have some time on my hands then. I want to use that to set up a pilot project in
a village for children-journalists -- for kids in village schools to write/speak
about their lives, their families, their village, and to connect them to kids in
schools in cities.

I thought that starting from a place where people are already familiar with
citizen journalism would be good. All that I was able to find on the Internet
was a BBC article about Aangan-ke-Paar, but nothing more.

Does anybody have any details about the people behind this?

I am also trying to get in touch with people running other kinds of projects:
Hole-in-the-Wall, and Digital-Study-Hall. Any other pointers?
