English-speaking radio journalists worldwide can compete in a contest
organized in Chicago, with prizes worth up to US$6,000. The final deadline
is July 20.

The Third Coast Festival/Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Competition has
four categories: Documentary, Directors' Choice, Best New Artist and Radio
Impact. The cash prizes, intended to support future creative efforts,
start at US$1,500.

The entry fee is US$25 for students and $45 for others who enter by June
29. Afterward, there is a $65 fee for all entries until July 20.

Winning programs receive honors at an awards ceremony in Chicago and get
national airplay on the Third Coast Festival Fall Broadcast. Other
exceptional entries from the competition may appear on the festival's
weekly radio show Re:sound, at thirdcoastfestival.org, or at festival
public events.
