Dear All
I dont mind extending email support to all who would like to apply for CR
stations.
Also they can go to the nearest campus station to see for themselves the
working of a CR radio station. I dont think you can reduce your expenditure
except on the size of the room as well as accoustic treatment. All Campus
stations work with minimum cheap indian hardware. Some of them have the
luxury of having two studios . That is all. As I told everyone in the CR
meet, we need not reinvent the wheel.
Ram attended the campus radio meet called for finalising a project titled
Science for women catalysed by DST. Mr Singaravelu also came . To a reply to
a question from Ram , he said that he welcomes indian students developing
their own FM transmitters. He would like them to correspond to ITU
specifications. If that is so they will recognise those transmitters. Ram
said that he will upload the same. Since he has not done it till today, I am
taking the liberty to inform all of you.
Again if you are looking for holding regional workshops, it is better you
hold at a place where already a CR studio or a station is functioning. After
all seeing is believing. The potential CR enthusiasts will have more
opportunity to get an idea of a CR station.
Also my request that all existing Campus stations may be allowed to become
members of CR forum may kindly be followed up seriously.
