[cr-india] Regional workshop

Dear Nimmi and friends:
I think the CR forum quickly needs to decide or announce the
availability of funding for the proposed regional wokshops. So far I
was under the impression that all of us as a team were going to work as
the CR Forum and get the required funding for the CR activities and
implement them regionally. However if individual organisations are
expected to and are indeed raising money for this activity independent
of the forum then what is the role that the forum proposes to play?
There may be organisations with a adequate seed funding to undertake
these activities irrespective of CR forum raising any money but there
may be others who will have to go out and either locate funding because
we are very keen and interested to undertake the activity or depend on
the forum to advocate and get the funds.
So I would strongly urge Nimmi and others to please announce current
status because without that we are unable to finalise dates with local
partners.

On the other questions raised by Nimmi regarding membership fee etc, I
think there certainly should be membership fee and different for
institutional as well as individual. However I think we need to debate
voting rights a bit more and come up with concrete criteria.
I agree with Geeta that Drishti can play the role of acquiring and
dissemination funds in its capacity as hosting the Forum till the Forum
is registered.
Those are my two bits. :-)
Looking forward to getting an update.
warmest
Venu
