Dear all,
Some of you would've heard about the IPDC-UNESCO project which started in
March last year for Operationalising Community Radio in India. Maraa,
supported by UNESCO, has completed several training workshops in the areas
of radio production, content development, community participation,
management and sustainability for four stations under this project - Namma
Dhwani, Karnataka, Vikalp Radio- Jharkhand, Kumaon Vani - Uttarakhand and
Radio Bundelkhand - Madhya Pradesh. We have had an insightful experience in
seeing these radio stations grow through different phases. Having traveled
consistently last year to these radio stations, we felt the need to create a
platform for exchange, towards building a peer group and a network for the
field staff, the reporters and station managers of CR- stations.
As an attempt to achieve this, Maraa is facilitating "Community Radio -
Ground Realities," an experience sharing workshop in Radio Bundelkhand,
Orchha on February 12th and 13th.
