Dear Suman
I feel that there is a hidden agenda at AMARC. An year back Steve spoke at
the Asia Media summit in KL about a non existent community radio in
Nagappatinam as the only Cr station in India. Even the Govt of India
representative present in KL countered this false claim.
You yourself attended the launch of CR course at IGNOu and is aware of the
situation in India. It could not happen due to oversight. India is a country
with worlds 25% of population living in.
The Indian Chapter of AMARC if at all it exists and the Asian Vice president
of AMARC are very well of aware of the developments in this country.
Such a glaring omission has happend when AMARC is hosting a major conference
in Bangalore in October 2009 and the data relating to the host country is
completely wrong.
Without giving some sort of explanations, please request your vice president
at Bangalore to get someone compile the factual data and bring out an
amended version of the directory immediately.
I am glad the first response came from Sajan and Mahesh Acharya. You will
have to understand the situation in each country and come out with a
publication which relates to reality and not false idealism
regards
