I&B Ministry to plan way forward for community radio

MUMBAI: Though the sixth Community Radio Sammelan was democratic and
considerate with the forum being open to the CR stations; no road map was
created for the CR stations to follow. But, the ministry will now connect
with its stakeholders and a few radio stations to plan the way forward.

According to sources, the information and broadcasting ministry, CR
stakeholders and a few radio stations will meet in Delhi sometime tomorrow
(30 March 2016).

The ministry is likely to review the progress of the CR stations and plan
the way forward. The meeting might also touch on issues that have been
haunting CR stations.

We tried contacting I & B ministry joint secretary R Jaya, but she remained
unavailable for comment.
