In remembrance of Agha Shahid Ali's  tenth death anniversary, which was 
on the 8th of December, The Arshinagar Project//presents
/Nei Thikana-r Dak Ghar /(The Post Office of Lost Maps), a 
proto-performance, presented by Arka Mukhopadhyay who will be 
accompanied by Qawwali singer Saqlain Nizami. Using fragments from 'The 
Country Without A Post Office', snatches of Tagore's 'The Post Office', 
and other texts by, for and about Shahid and Kashmir, Arka Mukhopadya 
unravels a performance that exists, and perhaps will exist, only in the 
mind. From the different strands of this unborn performance come musings 
on freedom, violence, and a lament for beauty.

The event lasts one hour.
