Dear Shuddha

This is nothing. Note some more of such instances:

1) "Sanjay Joshi sex tapes" : Sanjay Joshi was one of the RSS people to get
entry into the BJP. He had very good links with the RSS, being an
organizational man (as RSS pracharak). Planted in the BJP to have a good
link with the RSS, he was caught on a sex tape having sex with a woman, this
when he had declared himself to be an RSS pracharak (and such pracharaks are
supposed to have not married or have sex). Ironically, it turned out be a
controversy created by an insider in the ranks of the BJP.

There was a huge debate and allegation then in Madhya Pradesh politics that
it was Uma Bharati (combinedly with Narendra Modi) who were responsible for
these sex tapes to be out in public. While Bharati was suspected to have
done so to divert attention from her 'alleged' affair with Govindacharya,
Modi was suspected to have done so because both Joshi and Modi were
archrivals as RSS pracharaks and they had totally contrasting styles from
each other. (Modi is known to flaunt his position and wealth while Joshi was
seen as a very 'simple' person by both RSS and BJP insiders. Plus of course
Modi is seen as arrogant while Joshi was seen as 'someone who listens
patiently')

2) The second instance would be the Indore Municipal Corporation Pension
Scam. Social security was provided to elders through pension scheme which
was managed by the Indore Municipal Corporation. The beginning started when
Kailash Vijayvargiya, now a minister in the MP State govt., was the Mayor of
Indore. During his tenure as Mayor, a decision was passed by the
Mayor-in-Council to distribute the pension amount through cooperative banks
rather than nationalised banks.

The result was a huge disaster. Fake claimants were created in the scheme,
and legitimate claimants were left without any money. Rs. 33 crores were
lost in a scam as the money was siphoned off with elders deserving pension
getting nothing. Many were deprived and all thanks to Vijayvargiya. What was
interesting was his response to then Governor Balram Jakhar.

In a meeting, Jakhar had criticized the government for not trying to ensure
justice in the case of the scam. Our Vijavargiya sahab then said that if he
were to make the works recommended by the Governor public, as also things
about his past, then the Governor would have no place to hide. This when
Jakhar had not used any unparliamentary words against the Minister concerned
and had not even mentioned the name of the Minister. (Not that Jakhar is
innocent in any way, he has used words during his tenure as Governor which
can at the very least be termed extremely shameful)

By the way, people would be glad to know that Uttar Pradesh has now managed
to improve in the situation of cases of rape and molestation, especially
against women, because Madhya Pradesh is the leader in that segment in
India!! And this has now risen to the stage where criminals celebrate their
acquittals in front of the Chief Minister's residence and the police does
nothing, while if NBA activists or some people with genuine grievances sit
on a dharna (at the same place), they are forcibly taken away and even
beaten mercilessly, when they themselves don't indulge in violence.

Anyways, BJP can beat Ekta Kapoor's serials any day as far as drama is
concerned. What next do they have up their sleeves? Advani joining the
Congress and accusing RSS of communalism?
