[Reader-list] List Maintenance

Dear all

The list is being treated by some people as a place to flame, make ad  
hominem remarks and write incredibly limited-horizon material.

The list will have to shut down for a week for list-maintenance. When  
it activates again, please try and make an effort at remembering that  
this is a list to talk about a wide range of things, and not merely  
sectarian identity formation, played out in sectarian terms
