US unveils Pakistan aid projectsCorrespondents say the deal is part of 
Washington's attempts to counter anti-US sentiment in Pakistan
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has announced aid projects worth $7.5bn 
(£5bn) for Pakistan at the start of talks in the capital Islamabad.
The package, agreed by Congress last year, is part of Washington's attempts to 
counter anti-American sentiment in the country, correspondents say.
The five-year deal includes projects for two hydro-electric dams and renewable 
energy sources.
Mrs Clinton attends a major summit on development in Afghanistan on

Earlier, she said that conference should concentrate on how the efforts of the 
international community are helping to deliver services to its people.
She told the BBC a key objective for the US is to decrease what she called the 
historic mistrust between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
On Sunday, Afghanistan and Pakistan signed an important trade agreement, which 
allows Afghan trucks to use a land route through Pakistan to carry goods to 
India.
