tiNai Ecofilm festival (TEFF) is the first annual ecofilm festival of tiNai (formerly called OSLE-India) – an organisation for promoting ecocriticism in India. TEFF is dedicated to ecological documentaries. It is designed to become an ultimate platform for documentary filmmakers who focus on ecological issues.

SUBMIT YOUR FILM: Competition is held only for documentaries with ecological or environmental content. The theme could relate to an organism or a community of organisms in relation to their environment, environmental aspects of a cultural community, environmental degradation, issues on biodiversity, ecosophical perspectives, ecocentric practices and so on. The treatment could be relating/discussing/appreciating/criticizing the relationships between natural, cultural and supernatural entities.

1. Documentary films having environmental and ecological content made no earlier than 2010 are invited to the competition.
2. There are two categories in the competition: 1. Short Documentary between 10 and 30 minutes of duration and 2. Documentary Feature above 30 minutes.
3. All Documentaries using languages other than English should be subtitled in English (Entries without Subtitle will be rejected).
4. If sending via courier, DVD of the film (2 copies) should be sent along with a CD containing a poster of the film, a one-minute trailer of the film and a high-resolution digital photograph of the director. The contents of the CD can also be mailed to info at teff.in.
5. The DVDs will not be returned.
6. The DVD will be archived in the Library at BITS-Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus and will be used for academic purposes only.
7. Submitters automatically give BITS-Pilani, K.K. Birla Goa Campus the right to screen the film for non-commercial purposes in the Institute.
8. Jury of eminence in the field will select the best films. The Jury will select two best films from each category.
9. There is no registration fee for entering films for the competition.
10. All expenses, as well as the risk of transportation damage, are to be borne by the sender. The organizers of the Festival do not take any responsibility for the film transportation.
11. Films sent for competition should carry the tag “TEFF 2014 COMPETITION” on the left top of the envelope.
12. No submissions after 30 November, 2013, will be allowed. Submissions without the required documents or incomplete documents will not be accepted.
13.The Jury members will be requested to select the best 15 films from the competition section to be screened for the festival. This will include the award-winning documentaries as well.
14. Competitors can be nationals of any country.
