Akira Kurosawa (March 23, 1910 – September 6, 1998) is regarded as one of the most important and influential filmmakers in the history of cinema, he directed 30 films in a career spanning 57 years. Curated by the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, four of Kurosawa’s most well-regarded films from 1950’s Seven Samurai to 1965’s Red Beard will be screened this November as part of the Japan Festival.
