 Here's a nice website which shows Metro line maps on the same scale.
 This gives a fresh perspective to a spread of the city and its mass
 transit network. Can we also make broad inferences of the demographics
 of these cities?

 It is interesting to see how the different metro networks span out in
 terms of density and geeography; For example:

 1. Paris is a much denser and localised network, while london is less
 dense but more spread out - c'est petite! Paris is closer to Tokyo in
 density.
 2. Interesting to see how New York compares with say San Francisco and
 LA where the networks seem to be connecting very far off places without
 any train services for the people in the middle - there are buses of
 course.
 3. Notice also how Washington DC, Chicago and Moscow for example seem
 to be designed to bring people from great distances to this one city
 centre.
 4. Notice how Madrid Singapore, Vancouver and Hongkong have big giant
 loops.

 What do you think these networks represent? What could be a good spread
 for network for Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai for example?
