[Urbanstudy] POSITION: Architectural Communications

VA (www.vagroup.com) is looking for a young, creative and enthusiastic 
individual who is interested in developing her/his skills through research, 
networking and writing about architecture.

then VA offers a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a renown 
architectural design firm in Bangalore. 

 

Applications are invited from candidates with a background in architecture, 
design, or fine arts. Backgrounds in journalism, advertising, fine arts, 
art history, museum studies or English literature are also encouraged as 
long as the candidate shows active interest in architecture and design. As 
Communication Executive you will help manage the day-to-day production of 
VA’s editorial content; therefore, you should have strong writing skills, 
an eye for detail, and experience in editing for accuracy and flow. You 
must be naturally curious, able to operate with a sense of urgency, seek 
inputs from others, understand VA’s business-related goals and respect 
confidentiality.

 

A plus will be - 

- experience in social media networking

- knowledge of Photoshop & Indesign

- some knowledge of Wordpress and/or XML

- a degree in architecture or design

 

You will work in VA’s office in Bangalore, where you will be an essential 
member of a team of smart people focused on solving design, communication 
and technical challenges. You will report directly to VA’s management and 
be co-responsible for developing all original written content for VA. You 
will be actively involved in developing current news updates, drafting 
project descriptions and reports, presentations, copywriting for all 
marketing collateral and analyzing the artistic, technical, social and 
economic dimensions of VA’s work. Responsibilities could include 
photography, editing and uploading images and video footage, compiling 
clips, and much more. Expect hard work but also to be taken seriously.
