​Arghyam's ​
Groundwater-Sanitation (GW-SAN) Nexus Research Programme has been developed
​as a response, ​
to deepen the understanding of the linkages between groundwater and
sanitation in the Indian context, and move towards an integrated approach
for their management in practice
​. ​
​
A
​s
empirical evidence
​and
knowledge about the linkages between groundwater and sanitatio
​n is limited, the
programme aims to bridge knowledge gaps thro
​​
ugh pure and applied research
​ ​
and by consolidating existing knowledge on this and related subjects.

Two kinds of research grants, medium-term (upto 2 years) and short-term
(upto 1 year), will be given in two distinct phases: Phase
​ - I ​
​
 (2015-17) and Phase
​ -​
 II (2017-20).
*This is a call for concepts for short-term research grants for Phase​
-​ I.* Applications details outlining eligibility, template, selection
process and timelines is enclose herewith. *The last date for submission of
concepts is 15 September 2015. *The detailed programme document and summary
of proceedings from the second stakehol
​​
der workshop
​ held in January 2015​
 are also attached for your reference.
