The Union Minister of State  for Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Sri. Prakash Javedekar, has repeatedly stated that he would table the Environmental Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2015 during the Winter Session of the Parliament. We find that the Bill proposes fundamental changes to Environmental Governance in India. This is deeply disconcerting and the law, if passed, will be deeply disruptive of prevailing environmental jurisprudence.
