<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small">Dear All, </div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small"><br></div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-family:tahoma,sans-serif;font-size:small"><span style="font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px"><p class="MsoNormal">The Indian Institute for Human Settlements has launched the <a href="https://goo.gl/aOr267" target="_blank">Urban Fellows Programme (UFP) 2017-18</a>. The UFP is one of our flagship teaching programmes, which aims to equip, nurture and prepare a new generation of graduates and young professionals to address India's complex urban challenges.<br><br>The UFP is a fully funded, nine-month, full-time, inter-disciplinary programme based at the IIHS City Campus in Bangalore. It seeks to combine classroom-based teaching, site-based applied learning, work in live projects, and external internships to introduce learners to diverse forms of urban practice.<br><br>The first UFP iteration commenced in August 2016. We received an overwhelming response of over 700 applications out of which a dynamic class of 30 were selected from across India from diverse disciplinary backgrounds with a keen desire to play a role in India's urban transformation. The Fellows have completed seven months of the taught component and are now on two-­month internships at various organisations across the country. The UFP 2016-17 batch will graduate in May 2017.</p><p class="MsoNormal" style="background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial"> </p></span><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12pt;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px;background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">The second iteration of this programme will run from August 2017 to May 2018 for a batch of 35 Fellows. The fellowship covers tuition costs and provides accommodation support. Applicants with significant financial need may also apply for an additional living stipend, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Recent graduates and young professionals from varied educational backgrounds or practice domains <span style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">up to the age of 30 are</span> eligible to apply. Applications to the UFP 2017-18 are now open and will close on 1 May 2017.<br><br>For more information about the UFP, please <a href="https://goo.gl/aOr267" target="_blank">click here</a>. </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12pt;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px;background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">Regards, </p><p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:12pt;font-family:arial,sans-serif;font-size:12.8px;background-image:initial;background-position:initial;background-size:initial;background-repeat:initial;background-origin:initial;background-clip:initial">Anushree Deb</p></div></div>
