Dear Phuntsok:
Ben Grubb from QUT and I were discussing using the wifi 
Studio-Transmitter-Link (STL) system a while ago, and we came to the 
conclusion that it was a viable option...if you could afford to keep a 
computer going at both ends. (Without computers, I don't think we'd be 
able to set up a system without developing a device that could interpret 
the audio being transmitted over the wifi link, right?)
The standard way to setup an STL is to use a microwave ink - that's what 
gets the WPC's attention, because it qualifies as an independent radio 
link, requiring WPC licensing and a separate annual spectrum fee (and 
associated hassles!)
I think the basic idea of a WiFi STL works, though, if we can work a bit 
on the practicalities of power supply and operation. Let me know what 
you come up with.
