[cr-india] Siddartha Institute Prepares to Launch CRS

The Institute of Media Studies at Siddartha Educational Institutes, at
Tumkur, Karnataka, has got a Community Radio License. It also has an
audio/video studio. Transmitter is yet to be established. It is said that it
is going to be not a Campus Radio, but a Community Radio Station. This
covers the town of Tumkur and also a few square kilometers of rural areas
around the town. 

 

Recently, I was invited to conduct a three day practical workshop on Radio
Program Production, keeping in view the needs of CRS. The 12 students of
third semester in the Master of Electronic Media participated in the
workshop. 

 

Going by the preparations in progress it is likely to launch its broadcast
with a six months.
