Dear Members,
I also saw that news in iGovernment yesterday evening also and shared it on
my Facebook page.
Anyway, reading some of the replies of the esteemed gentlemen and champions
of Community Radio, I am a bit disappointed by the sheer, what I would term
as 'divergent' views on such a democratic medium as Community Radio by
criticising whatever the Government of India does in this regard. I guess,
CR India or any CR forum should reflect common people's point of view and in
my humble opinion, welcome some government initiatives as and when taken, as
is the case now.
In the raidly expanding social media space, let radio, be it community or
otherwise, retain its old world charm by taking it forward through a unified
voice. Indian CR scene would be better for it, to me.
I am welcoming the news from the government.
