Taking its promise further to provide better quality
with innovative programming and captivate its
listeners yet again, India's hottest radio station
Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM went on air on Tuesday to the
sound of 'Maa Tujhe Salaam' anthem in the early hours
of the morning.
Radio Mirchi already enjoys a leadership position in
13 cities and broadcasts on a common frequency of 98.3
FM across the country. Today, over 18 million Indians
listen to Radio Mirchi across Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai,
Kolkata, Indore, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bangalore,
Jaipur and Pune.
In last two months, Radio Mirchi launched stations in
Patna, Jalandhar Goa and Bhopal. After commencing
operation in Vadodara, Entertainment Network (India)
Limited (ENIL) - Radio Mirchi will roll out 17 more
radio stations by the end of this year.
Commenting on Radio Mirchi launch in Vadodara, Nandan
Srinath, COO, ENIL (Radio Mirchi), said, "It's truly a
proud moment for Radio Mirchi with the station launch
in Vadodara. We are happy to be recognised as India's
hottest radio station and connecting with listeners
across the length and breath of the country is part of
Radio Mirchi's aggressive growth plans. We plan to
expand rapidly and the west zone is an important
market for us. We expect the Mirchi style of
programming of Radio Mirchi to revitalise radio in
Vadodara, just the way we have been able to win the
loyalty of listeners in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and
other cities."
Added Neeraj Saraswat, Station Head, Radio Mirchi
Vadodara, "Vadodara has a rich historical background
and today's Barodians have quite a full and hectic
cultural life throughout the year. The outstanding
trait about Vadodara's cultural life is that it is
remarkably cosmopolitan. It is dynamic, ever-changing
and alive. Radio Mirchi in Vadodara, like all its
other stations, will have localised programming
content with local news that you can use everyday,
every hour. We are confident of winning the Barodians
with our unique programming and fabulous music."
