  Mitron,
Yeh posting angrezi mein hai. Angrezi mein hone ke chalte utpann kathinayon ko dekhkar mere man mein gahara afsos hai. Aage se main hindi mein post karne ki koshish karoonga.
One part of my researchwork is concerned with the interaction between new technologies (especially computer) and Dalits living in Chunabhatti Mohallah and the other part is concerned with impact of new technologies ( especially V.C.D.'s, which is easily available here) on lives of Mushar community living in Rashidpur village of Darbhanga.
Rashidpur is situated at distance of forty k.m. from Darbhanga. There are more than 400 voters, who are in position of making decisive role in Panchayat elections of Adhloam Panchayat (in which this village is located). Panchayat elections are Just few month away and here some mushar youths are discussing about politics in lighter vein. They are just playing with the idea of election and it's related aspects. They talk seriously only about Panchayat Samiti seat of the Panchayat, which is reserved for S.C. and about rest seats they have plenty of jokes, satires and anecdotes from films.
Their uttering show that burlesque portrail of politicians in films give them pleasure and according to Ashok Sadai , 'For securing one's right one has to fight like hero' and according to Santosh Sadai, 'one might get hurt in the process'.
I am pleased by seeing that debate has turned itself towards films and ask them, 'These days have you seen any film?' Santosh Sadai replies, 'It is always on the card, if we have money in our pocket then by expending hundread rupees, one can bring T.V.-V.C.D.'s and battery from Mahtaur Chowk and for whole night every people will watch by sitting together. (Mahtaur Chowk is the local market, where C.D's are available in majority of a dozen of betel- shops.)
I ask them, 'For watching movies with so much people a big courtyard is required then you people choose whom courtyard'? Santosh Sadai tells, ' In winter we have problem because courtyard of no one is big enough, but winter is passing, so we place T.V. at Thantar (Deen-Bhadri's public worship-place) and everybody see it with thorough pleasure'
'You people are playing V.C.D's on worship place, does this will not annoy Deena bhadri' .
Ashok Sadai replies quickly 'viewing T. V. is not a sin, so that Baba Deena-bhadri will get annoyed and even if He get annoyed, elders know how he will be appeased'.
